Possible settings: Contemporary upscale restaurant and bar. Swings to a hotel dining room or a private club, or down to a neighbourhood bistro with a dress change.
Restaurant scenes are dialogue scenes, and dialogue scenes need coverage. This room was built for it: tables strike and add, the floor is open enough for a dolly to move between them, and the bar runs the length of one wall, so a scene can play at the bar with the dining room alive behind it.
The back bar is the set's best asset — lit shelving, full bottle dressing and a marble counter that takes practicals and reflections well. Sconces and table candles are practical, and the curtained window bay reads as evening or blacks out entirely. Because nothing here depends on daylight, the room looks the same at 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.
Walls are 13-foot flats with a powered lunch box on the set.
